Videx proximity card access controls consist of readers and processors. A modular reader can be fitted into any 800 series panel along with an audio or video intercom. There are also two styles of independant reader. There are five processors to choose, from 20 user up to 4000 uers. The two smaller manually programmed procesors are in DIN housings. Three higher user versions are computer programmed. |

KSX
KSX is a complete set with a 849s reader in a single height modular housing. The set can be ordered with a 20 user or 100 user processor. Both have 3 starter cards and a power supply. |

VKX
The VKX video version is the same as the audio, but with the parts of a VK6 intercom. The same options are available. The higher user processor can be fitted on any set as an upgrade. Readers can use cards or keyfobs, or a mixture. |

| Readers
There are five independant readers with integral 5 core leads. 849p is in an impact resistant ABS housing in white or dark grey. The alternative 849z is square with a 'nickel' or 'grey' metallic rim. A single LED lights red for fail or green for pass. The 949fs is a vandal resistant flush panel reader. |

Processors
The 20 user and 100 user processors are in DIN housings. 250, 1000, and 4000 user processors are boxed circuit boards with a keypad and display. All processors can be programmed via their buttons, so they need to be located in a secure area. Three larger units are also PC programmable and can build up to 20 main doors and 100 apartment doors using the 1000A expansion units. |

| Software
VP4000 software loads onto a PC or laptop to edit an access control database. The windows software incorporates user friendly menus with online 'help'. It displays a photo and details of the last 5 users. Cards can be given an expiry date. Entry 'credits' can be applied to cards for single use or contract applications. A credit is deducted with each use until the card is barred. |
