PK8 keypad is a compact durable door access keypad with a 2 to 8 digit code. Access to programming by an admin password. There is a jumper link to allow a factory master reset. LED and beeper give confirmation of key presses, and indicate correct or failed code entry. The keypad locks out for a period if the wrong code is entered more than three times.
Application
Connections are made to a 10 way screw terminal block. Relay contact is volt free changeover with a maximum 1A resistive rating. A contact protector is provided for inductive loads. Suitable for connection to small door locks, relays, or automation systems. There is a door status contact input intended to sound an alarm if the door is left open. Alarm contacts are programmable. The alarm can be disabled from the keypad leaving only the LED flashing. The exit button input operates the relay, envoking the programmed timer setting. DC input voltage is tolerant to 24V. A zener voltage dropper may be used for 24Vac/dc supplies.
Construction
The body is a two part chromed casting with front and rear water seals. The codelock mounting plate has 4 screw holes and a cable entry. Environmental protection is IP54, higher when fitted to a flat surface with cable sealing. A heater is recommended to disperse condensation when used outdoors (330R 0.5W). The codelock front fits to its mounting plate with one screw underneath. The keys are aluminium with engraved numbers. There is no key illumination. There are three clip on trim options to colour code the codelock.
