Intercom function
T59 and R59 panels are functionally the same, based on the TK9 and TKR9 codelocks.
The audio intercom is designed to use any conventional handset with a 12Vac buzzer.
A five core cable is required to connect to the handset.
Three handsets can be connected in parrallel.
Handset door release buttons are wired into the codelock exit button to envoke the same relay time.
Separate volume controls are provided for the speaker and microphone.
Codelock function
Codelocks store up to 98 codes from 2 to 8 digits code length.
Access to programming by a six digit administration password.
There is a jumper link to return to the factory admin code, but it does not clear the access codes.
A beeper gives confirmation of each key stroke.
Incorrect codes give three beeps; correct codes give a green light.
The relay on times are set from 1 to 9 secs.
An exit button input also triggers the relay, but with the option of a different relay period.
Application
Connections are made via two 4 way screw terminal blocks.
The volt free relay contact is either N.O. or N.C. set on a jumper link.
Maximum relay switching is 1A resistive, suitable for small door locks, relays, or automation systems.
A contact protector is provided for inductive loads.
The exit button input operates the relay, envoking a different programmed timer setting.
DC input voltage is tolerant to 32V.
A zener voltage dropper may be used for 24Vac/dc supplies.
Construction
The panel is 5mm thick and requires a minimum 162mm x 84mm cutout.
Clearance depth behind the panel is 25mm. Overall dimensions are 213mm x 117mm.
A sub surface back box is provided with cable knockouts, and a rainhood to provide a surface mount option.
There are two anodised finishes: natural and bronze.
The panel has four mounting holes to match the sub surface box.
Environmental protection is IP54.
A heater is recommended to disperse condensation when used outdoors (330R 0.5W).
The keys are engraved aluminium with LED back lit numbers.
